Buse LUA Kanlıkılıç (b. 1991, Turkey) is a nomadic artist whose creative journey began with a degree in painting from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She further developed her artistic practice with a master's in Fine Arts from NCAD in Dublin, expanding her skills across various mediums.
Originally from Turkey, where shamanism has deep roots, Lua is on a mission to preserve the sacred symbolism and geometry of her heritage. As she travels the world, she draws inspiration from cultures that actively maintain ancient practices, blending these influences into her work.
As a muralist, ceremonial tattoo artist, and modern witch, Lua's art spans urban landscapes and sacred spaces worldwide. She specializes in creating intentional, custom pieces—whether through tattoos, sigil designs, murals, jewelry, or garments—that carry deep personal meaning and evoke specific energies like protection, prosperity, and transformation. Through tattoos like the Soul Imprint Tattoo, she bridges the worlds of the seen and unseen, creating art that sparks recognition and connection in others.
Lua's creative process is fueled by songs, stories, myths, poetry, and dance, allowing her to constantly grow and explore new ways of expression. Her work is a modern tribute to ancient rituals, a spiritual practice that leaves her clients with a lasting connection to their own personal journey.
Currently based in Mexico City, Lua continues to channel her personal experiences and explore new ways of artistic collaborations.
